ABOUT

Kristen Dobish Woodard is a music educator, director, and consultant with more than two decades of experience leading choirs, building music programs, and inspiring musicians of all ages.

  • Since 2011, she has served as Director of Music Ministries at First Presbyterian Church of Maumee, Ohio, where she oversees worship planning, directs choirs and ensembles, and equips worship teams. A longtime member of the church, Kristen is especially passionate about the leading of congregational song — engaging worshipers and bridging the gap between the platform and the pew.

  • Earlier in her career, Kristen transformed the choral program at Evergreen High School, doubling its size and guiding students to state-level recognition. She also directed and produced musicals and has taught middle and high school music in both public and private schools.

  • Her influence extends to retreats, conferences, and camps, where she has served as both musician and director. She is a long-time participant in the leadership of a popular summer music camp at Camp Lambec in Pennsylvania and recently helped launch the camp’s premiere worship retreat.

  • In addition, she teaches private piano lessons, with a devoted following of school-aged students.

  • Kristen holds a Master of Music Education degree from Kent State University and a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Mount Union College.

  • She is married to Andy, whom she met and married at First Pres Maumee, and she enjoys using music and musical opportunities to connect people in meaningful ways.
